On the small stitched leather tab inside the bag. Enter it exactly. Format is usually Letter · Number · Letter – Number.
How this works (and its limits)
From about 1994 to 2014, Coach stamped a code like K8P-9870: first letter = month (A=Jan through M=Dec, skipping “I”), middle digit(s) = year, digits after the dash = style number. The plant letter is NOT publicly decodable. Digits-only codes are 1970s–80s serials. A creed with no number is usually 1960s or post-2014. This is educational, not a guarantee of authenticity.
